MoonaticDestiny
I dont know whats going on right now. I feel like im being played by serif. Im so baffled and cant figure out why they would make these illogical design decisions. Im so starstruck right now. Im so baffled. Im so perplexed at these design decisions. My god! What is going on at serif? What is going on? I feel like they took 10 steps back. What are we doing? The context toolbar for each tool used to be at the bottom in v1 but now its merged at the top with the new toolbar. Which is bad because one toolbar disappears to make room for the other toolbar and then everything is squeezed into this one small area toolbar. And then sometimes the context toolbar is split into 2 with some properties being at the top and now some properties that are now sliders to the left of the interface. Which those properties didnt have to turn into sliders because they were just fine as circles on the context toolbar at the bottom in v1. So now we have context toolbars at the top that conflict with the other toolbar at the top, sliders to the left that shouldnt be sliders, and context toolbars that are split into 2 and everythings everywhere and its so many steps back from what we had before. Ugh. And then some icons dont have names so your forced to guess what some icons on the context toolbar do and its just SO bad. Im truly crying on the inside from the bad design. I cant anymore. What is going on at serif? What are we doing?😭😢😞

Honest criticism doesn't have to be coupled with vitriol to be heard; it is probably better received when delivered without such antagonism. Years of feedback to help bad design gone neglected. Its a VERY valid opinion. I think everything ive said is valid. Very valid. I wish users knew what has been going on with this app for years. Sigh. I dont want to explain the whole story to you. Its such a long story. I dont want to get into it. Its draining. Im now reaching a point where i just cant anymore. Im so frustrated and ive lost hope with this app. Im becoming self aware that this app isnt going to work out so im going to leave this app already. Its not going to work out. Its just not. Ive edited my post because i know it offended you and I know itll offend others but I truly stand by it though.

I am aware of Affinity's development history, and I happen to still feel on the whole quite positive about it, despite the potential for growth that we all, developers included, recognize still exists. I am sorry you are becoming frustrated. For your own good, it might be best to step away. Your posts have been quite negative today, and so much negativity can be hurtful to yourself as to others. I appreciate your editing the post, though I am not personally offended.
