Welcome Mike,

When I understand correctly you need to be online for activation. After  that, there is no more internet necessary except for  the updates.

Why? Does that mean you never let your computers connect to the Internet?

You only need internet once for the activation. After that you can remain working offline without any internet. I do not know if you use a laptop or computer but isn't it possible to connect short for the activation and shut down the internet after activation?

Almost, some computers are only connected to the internet upon initial setup and after about two and a half years, Mid life expectancy, for an update. This reduces the security risks and I've just done this update.

If there is no other way to activate the software I'll guess I'll have isolate that computer and connect it to the internet. This will cost me a couple of hours.

Since the software is only available via a download to begin with, why not just activate it when you are connected to the internet to get the downloads?
