Is There Perspective/Skew Feature in Designer?

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to ask if there's a Perspective/Skew distortions in AD. I have a couple of shapes I'm trying to warp a little and having some trouble doing it without the Perspective/Skew/Warp feature. Or do I have to do this part in Affinity Photo.

Thanks,

Marc

The hotspot for this to show up could be a bit bigger imho, it's sometimes tricky to come up. Works great though.

Yes, this point should be on the roadmap. Too many beginners are searching and asking here for this and some other features, that seems to be missing.

Hi Marc,

As JFisher said this is already on Designer 's roadmap. Currently it doesn't have the tools to perform perspective distortions.

If you own Affinity Photo you can do the following:

Create the text object in Affinity Photo and apply a Live Perspective Filter. With the object selected (both layers) press  ⌘ (cmd) + C to copy it to clipboard. Go to Affinity Designer and paste the object in the document. Edit/adjust the Filter as necessary, double-clicking in the Live Perspective filter’s thumbnail.

Thanks everyone for your help, I really appreciate it. Works great in AP, got the job done. :)

Sorry to keep this thread going a little longer, but I ran into another thing I'm trying to do. I know Text on Path works great in AD, but is there a feature to warp the text into something similar to this Tapout logo? Or maybe even a work-around if the feature doesn't exist yet.

Thanks,
