When you create a clipping mask on designer v1 on ipad, there was always a blue line that would appear in the middle of the layer that you were going to clip to. This middle blue line told you that you were going to create a clipping mask. Its gone now on v2. Why? Please bring it back. That blue middle line that appeared on the layer was a guide/indicator that told users, "hey, youre creating a clipping mask." It was helpful.

Now with v2, to create a clipping mask, the layer just hovers over the other layer and it doesnt indicate that youre creating a clipping mask. It was better with the middle blue line showing up on the layer. Theres just no reason to remove this.

This middle blue line was a favorite feature of mine on the ipad because I always hated how the desketop version did its clipping mask. Showing a middle blue line on the layer was great! Please bring it back. You didnt have to remove it. Its a helpful indicator for users.

I think there's a bit of a UI issue in V2.

You will see a thin blue line if you're dragging a layer up/down the layer stack and you're going to drop it between layers.

You will see a slightly thicker blue line if you're going to drop it in the clip-mask position.

OMG. I just noticed it. Its a thicker blue line at the bottom of the layer for a clipping mask. I dont like this. This is the way the desktop version behaves. It was so much better with the line showing up in the middle of the layer for a clipping mask action. Not a thicker line at the bottom of the layer. Sigh. It needs to go back as the v1 version where all blue lines are the same in thickness and the middle blue line on the layer indicates a clipping mask. Its so easy to under stand. Up and down blue line indicates moving the layer up and down and middle blue line indicate clipping mask.

A thin line to show movement and a slightly thicker line to indicate clipping mask is not good. I barley noticed it. This line "thickness increase" is not a helpful indicator. The line being in the middle of the layer WAS the helpful indicator. smh.

This is such a basic concept. Up to move the layer above. Down to move the layer below. And middle to create a clipping mask. Using a lines "thickness" as an indicator for clipping mask is VERY bad design. Its such bad design that I assumed they removed the clipping mask blue line through this forum post's title. I named it why they removed it. It wasnt removed. Thats how bad it is. SMH.

I'm sure they'll get it fixed.
