hanche Posted November 9, 2022 Posted November 9, 2022 Downloaded Affinity Photo 2 from the app store (got version 2.0.0). Selected the 30-day trial. When asked whether to import data from version 1 (I have version 1.10.5, also from App store), I answered yes, then clicked Confirm on the file picker dialog asking me to confirm the folder. At that point, the application crashed. Tried again, same result. Then I launched it a third time, answered no to the question, and the application launched without a hitch. I realize that this may be hard to reproduce, given that it may depend on exactly what data it tries to import from version 1. But perhaps the attached crash log (from Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports) will help. This is from the first crash. OS: MacOS Ventura 13.0 on a MacBook Pro with M1 processor. Dan C Posted November 9, 2022 Posted November 9, 2022 Hi hanche, Thanks for reporting this, If you get time, would it be possible to zip up your propcol files (preferences) using this resource as a guide, so we can test to see what's going on. Lee Quote
hanche Posted November 9, 2022 Author Posted November 9, 2022 I can try that, but what do you mean by “this resource”? Did you forget to add a link? Or you could just tell me what directory to zip up? Some subdirectory of ~/Library/Containers/com.seriflabs.affinityphoto, I suppose? The whole thing is really big, and it probably contains too much private data. Quote
Peter Wooster Posted November 28, 2022 Posted November 28, 2022 I had a similar crash. - First use after downloading purchased V2 universal license - answered yes to import data from V1, I don't think I had any - MacOS crash, I didn't copy the crash log - tried again, everything worked Other than this it looks like a great release. Dan C Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 Apologies in the delay getting back to you! The path for your prefs is as follows: /Users/USERNAME/Library/Group Containers/6LVTQB9699.com.seriflabs Lee Quote
hanche Posted December 5, 2022 Author Posted December 5, 2022 Okay, I zipped them up and attached them here. Due to other circumstances, I haven't had much time to use the software since this happened, so one can always hope that any clue has not been overwritten by new data. affinity-propcol.zip Quote
Peter Wooster Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 I've used the v2 products a few times so far and haven't seen a repeat of this. Quote
