You started out talking about Booklet printing, Robin.

In any case, "1,28" says just print pages 1 and 28.

"1-28" says print pages 1 through 28.

I'm not sure what you mean by printing "just" 1-28 "on their own". That would be the normal situation if you do not choose Booklet.
