vitaprimo
Could you crash course me on curves again. It's always so frustrating trying to close them, for instance, this is the Fedora logo from Wikipedia, the f should be punched out, except it isn't. So, the first thing I thought "an open curve", right? But it isn't, if the red nodes are supposed to be start and end, they should be able to be closed, but they don't. They can be closed, joined but only after breaking them. "Maybe it's drawn over itself or something. Then I should just be able to punch it out with another curve," you know where I'm going with this… > Substract < Here's the resulting curve on top, as they do, one of the arrows got stuck below: Why doesn't it work?? The original is attached, if you're feeling a little masochistic. Fedora_logo_(2021).svg

The attached file is considerably different from the one shown in your screenshots -- it has 2 "(Layer)" parent layers. But just guessing, if you have a version that is just the blue circular(ish) shape & the F one, you should get what you want by subtracting the F shape from the blue one & setting the Fill Mode to Alternate.
