safoster71
Greetings! Happy Affinity Day! I do have a question, as i am diving into all the new stuff. What is the prescribed process of "upgrading" the ipad apps? (in a way that doesn't lose any previous work that is) I assume, if one deletes the version 1 app, its file directory will be deleted as well? Is it as simple as copying (if it lets me) all of the previous work from the v1 folder to the v2 folder? Or are there some hidden "gotchas"? Any thoughts? Staff MEB Posted November 9, 2022 Staff Share Posted November 9, 2022 Hi @safoster71, You can have both V1 and V2 installed simultaneously on your iPad if you want. V2 will not replace V1. If you uninstall V1, all files stored within the app sandbox area will be deleted (the file you see when you run the app). So make sure you save them (tap the menu icon on the bottom of each file and select Save) to save them to the Default Save Location you set in that app Preferences, General section). You will then find the files in their respective folder in either the On My iPad or iCloud Drive areas in the Files app. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
