stefanstp08
InDesign-View (all fine): Affinity Publisher 2.0: Error 1: The number of pages + graphic is missing at the bottom right (comes from the sample pages). Unfortunately, it is behind the graphic and not at the top of the hierarchy. Error 2: Transparency gradient is completely undefined in Affinity Publisher 2.0. Staff DWright Posted November 11, 2022 Staff Share Posted November 11, 2022 Thank you for reporting this issue, For the page number issue you will need to move the Master page in the layer to the top of the layers list. For the transparent gradient issue the is being caused by a feather gradient in the idml document that Affinity Publisher is unable to read I have raised this with our QA team you can remove the incorrect gradient and apply a new gradient Rodi
stefanstp08
The point is that I have about 500 InDesign documents and I don't want to manually clean up these two errors in all of them. Therefore, it would be really good if these bugs could be fixed. By the way, they were already there in the first version (I also reported them back then). Please be so kind and fix these two bugs, because then I can switch all my documents to Affinity immediately. Thank you!

As a graphic artist, I can tell you it's hit or miss in conversion of one file type to another. Really the big question for you is, is this 1,000 problems that have to be fixed now or can they be fixed upon need? It is really hard to leave Quark (lol, it's me!) because v3.33+ was great and stable, but InDesign really did work better after 2002. I have converted many files to ID. Conversely, you can save as Package, import pdf and some of the issues may go away, especially if you have the fonts.
stefanstp08
The problem is that we offer a lot of templates for purchase and would like to simply state that they are 100% compatible with Affinity Publisher, which is not the case and therefore it would be nice if we didn't have to do the work of adapting all these files, but rather if the import of the files simply worked correctly, which is not yet the case. For me, these are clearly 2 bugs.
