stevelink
Greetings Affinity Professionals! As a total newbie to the Apple (iMac) Universe, I just found your app, and had the following questions please... Is your software fully compatible with both Fujifilm RAW and JPEG files? Secondly, as I already have access to Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop Elements on my iMac, I was wondering what advantage I would derive in moving to Affinity Photo? (I only shoot and process still images, so no video editing is necessary.) If interested, you can view images samples at www.totalqualityphoto.com. Thank you for your time! Staff MEB Posted January 12, 2016 Staff Share Posted January 12, 2016 Hi Stevelink, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Here's a list of supported RAW/cameras. Affinity Photo also supports JPG's (and all other common graphic formats). It's also more advanced than Photoshop Elements, however it doesn't manage catalog/libraries as Lightroom. We already announced a separate DAM (digital assets managements software) solution for later which will work seamlessly with Affinity Photo. stevelink 1 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
stevelink
Thank you sir! You've convinced me to try this app! I did watch one of the demo videos and am quite impressed! If I may also ask, is 8GB DRAM (with a 2TB Fusion drive and a 480GB SSD) good enough "specs" to edit RAW images in Affinity Photo? Thanks again! Staff MEB Posted January 12, 2016 Staff Share Posted January 12, 2016 Yes, your drives and 8GB are enough, but the processor specs are equally important. If your iMac is a recent model you shouldn't have any troubles. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
