Wacom Cintiq 16 blurry surface while painting with AP and AD

Recommended Posts

I have purchased a Wacom Cintiq 16. When using Affinity Photo, the drawing surface becomes blurry when I hold the pen near the screen. That is, the program interface remains in focus but the drawing surface is pixelated. When I remove the pen, the image comes into focus. With Affinity Designer, however, the entire drawing surface is not blurred, but only the line that I am drawing. If I draw 3 lines next to each other, only the last one I'm drawing gets pixelated, the others stay sharp. Does anyone know what setting I need to change to keep everything sharp? Other programs like Clipstudio Paint don't have this problem, so it can't be the Wacom I think.

Welcome to this forum.

I think your problem is related to scaling.

Go to "Scaling" and select "100%" or play around with the settings.

I hope it helps.

Cheers

Try changing Preferences > Performance[Retena Rendering] from "Auto" to "High Quality". It's glitchy on some setups. You can also test turning off OpenCL, but I would do that as last resort...

Yup, I get this too with my Cintiq 24 Pro. @Gnobelix, where do you find the "Scaling" option? Is this somewhere in the Affinity Preferences or in the Wacom setup?

Thanks :) .

I think it has to be set in the Wacom setup.
