Catshill
Load of document > Missing Resource(s) > Resource Manager > Highlight missing image > Replace... > Locate image Publishers closes without saving and on reopening does not given option to recover file. However, if I locate in document and use the manual replace option from the toolbar, it does so without error. Are you using the latest release version? 1.10.5.1342 Can you reproduce it? Yes until I saved the file so sadly I cannot reproduce 😞
Staff Lee D Posted October 29, 2022 Staff Share Posted October 29, 2022 We're aware of some issues that relate to recent Windows Updates relating to .NET that are causing crashes within ours and other apps. We've passed this over to our developers to investigate and also logged the issue with Microsoft. See the linked FAQ article for more information and possible workaround by temporarily removing certain Windows Updates from your system. Catshill
That post refers to font drop downs which is a different issue to the one I mentioned however I can understand why it could be related. Unless the crash becomes more problematic aka frequent, I will leave things as they are and await your fix.

"Some users have also reported crashes/issues when placing images, updating resources, adding pages, amending table columns and converting colour profiles. If you're suddenly experiencing crashes when performing actions which worked previously it is also recommended that these updates be uninstalled." Catshill
An update to Windows 10 has meant meant that the Resource manager is crashing again. I checked the updates but non of the affected updates listed above are installed so I do not know what to do. Are there other updates that I should be installing? Well, it either worked for me, or I tried a variant set of instructions. Can't remember which; sorry.
