When I choose to use a brush (i.e) the inpainting brush, or a masking brush, the border disappears when it passes over a bright part of the image forcing me to redo that portion of my edit.  Is there a way to emphasize this border by changing its color or thickness or some other control?

Hi @Iam1of2,

Are you referring to the Brush Outline preview when the brush tool(s) are selected? As far as i'm aware the colour of this cannot be changed. However, you can enable 'Always Show Brush Crosshair' under Preferences > User Interface which may make it easier to see in brighter areas of the image.
