Affinity Publisher isn't saving and other functions

Affinity Publisher will not save, save as export or open any of my files.

• What happens instead in each of these attempts?
• Is any of the eventually used files stored on an external disk (e.g. network volume, cloud, usb-stick)?
• Has the affected document get saved before?

Currently you could copy your Affinity user data system folder (or selectively the folder "autosave") to another location. In case you needed to close / relaunch APub then the files of type .autosave may get renamed to type .afpub which would possibly allow to open them if they contain enough data.

Another option after a possibly required app relaunch might be to create a new empty document (same specs, e.g. page size, colour) and try the option menu "Document" > "Add Pages from File…" and choose a renamed .autosave file.

Glad you managed it to work! – Can you give some more specific feedback what happened? This could help to understand the issues + give hints for other users in such a situation:

a. What happens in each of the attempts to "Save", "Export", "Open"? (any message, process bar, …)
b. Has the affected document been saved before the issue?
c. Is any of the involved files stored on an external disk (e.g. network volume, cloud, usb-stick)?
d. How did the document open after the app relaunch: as usual document – or restored after your dialog window confirmation?
