RealE605
Hi Team Affinity, we are using for Digital Printing SpotColors with custom names. Example: we have to name Colors like "Spot1" for the white ink and "Spot2" for coating clear ink. Next Problem is the we using for our Zünd-Cutter SpotColors for further processing cutting and milling like "cut_Through" "cut_Kiss" etc. I am pretty sure that this SpotColor-Thing is missing by many Users. I bought Affinity-Designer like it but can´t use it without the Custom-Named-SpotColors. Regards Thomas P.S. important that the SpotColors will be in the exported PDF! See Screenshot I'm not sure if they are exported in the PDF, but if you right click on the swatch for the spot color, you are given the option to rename the spot. Does this do the job? See Screenshot Hi RealE605, You are not the first to ask this. I've attached a simple file, for a die (cut) line only, but I believe the principle is the same (achieved with the same method as JackofDiamonds has illustrated). mrtn
The lack of spot colours was a restriction in my initial trial (the period is long over so can't test). Looks like the feature is finally implemented. I see CutContour is there for contour cutting but does Designer also support importing Corel Draw or AI swatches (specifically for Roland Color System Library)? This would make Affinity Designer a very reasonable alternative to Corel Draw. Quote iMac 21" / iMac 27"
