Linux - WE NEED THIS SOFTWARE IN LINUX !

Recommended Posts

Are there plans for linux?

Photoshop IS NOT ON LINUX. and there are millions of linux users and many millions more windows users who want to migrate to linux but don't do it because of the lack of design and photo editing software on that platform. It is URGENT Afinity they release their next versions of all their software for linux, as they already do it for the Mac (linux) I don't think it will be difficult to release a version for LINUX debian / Ubuntu.

Unix is not Linux.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 11.7.3
Affinity Designer 2.0.4 | Affinity Photo 2.0.4 | Affinity Publisher 2.0.4 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

I have considered linux before. However, there is no standardized software installation method (there are 3). The best distro I could find was ZorinOS Pro, which comes with a purchase fee to support development of that OS. The linux world is way too fragmented to be viable for most developers like Serif. Most of the linux software (other than Blender 3D software) can't be used for professional needs due to lacking necessary features.

I am just throwing this out there, here is a link to ZorinOS: https://zorin.com/

ZorinOS is the best I could find in terms of usability and built in Wacom tablet support with the least need to use the command line.

I have tested at least 5 to 7 Linux operating systems before arriving at ZorinOS. I wasn't just thinking of myself for this, but others also. I can't make the switch without professional grade software is available. Current options in linux won't cut it. That is why I am staying with MacOS.

the linux OS world needs to standardize their Application Install to one option and they need to enable paid software options in their stores. Not even the maker of UbuntuOS has made any progress in regards to paid software being installable even though they have had that announcement for years.

Regarding this: Flatpaks, Snaps, and the universal AppImages now exist, so they no longer have to consider a particular Linux distribution (OS) - just Linux in general.

Convenience is both the thing that pushes humanity forward and the thing leading us to doom.

Not me though. Y'all be easy.

Primary System: Arch Linux (dual-booted with Windoze for some paid apps that can't run on Linux yet)
Secondary System: Android Tablet

Apps: Krita | CSP | Blender | Inkscape | Affinity Suite | Quoll Writer | NovelWriter
