Jip the full moon needs to be brighter (maybe some of the black/dark trees too slightly), never seen a dark full moon, only when it was covered by very dark rain clouds. - And from which light source does Santa is getting the front light from, car taillights are usually red?

Other than that nice! - Even we probably won't see much of such Xmas lightings this year, due to the massive increase in energy and electricity prices. In addition, the population in this country here was called upon by the government to do without this type of Christmas lights in order to save electricity in general.

Santa is not standing behind the car, so he would not be enlightened by the red taillights. At least not frontal. Can't see the source of this light. Some sort of miracle of Christmas? 😄

But anyway, it really looks very good. Just a few things should be fixed, I think.

He's holding a lamp

Damn! Yes, you are right. But the shine is brighter than its source. That's why we didn't notice it, I think.

It's always a problem to paint light, because it always has to be brighter than the surfaces and media that reflects it, to look realistic. So you have to respectively darken the surrounding environment if you can't lighten the light. This is even more difficult in analog painting, because the paper white is the limit there.

Ah yes, now where you are saying it. - Strange I didn't recognized that lantern before, maybe as iconoclast already said probably due to the different form of light distribution there and the fact, that the other lanterns around (like above Santa's head and the house front) don't distribute any extra light!

Santa must have had too heavy presents in his sack, as the wheels of the Beetle are as slanted as they are. 🤣

I love it.
