Can't exit typing using Escape

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone!

When typing the opacity value of a color within the color picker, then Enter, the typing cursor will still be there. Trying to stop typing by Escape quits full screen instead.

I am using Designer 1.10.4, which may not be the most current version. I am rarely updating in order to keep workflow stability.
I searched for "exit typing escape" and didn't find this issue.
Best wishes,
Shu

This is one of my pet peeves, I too can rarely escape out of a number field by using the escape key. Have to use a mouse click. Frequently the tab key will not take me to the next field but will enter the value and then escape out of the field. Extremely frustrating. It is a bug, it is in many of the other panels as well. I too have filed reports about this, I too have comment like this with other peoples reports. The developers just don't understand how the escape key is expected to be used. Escape = Escape.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Thanks for your replies!
@Callum
No. The transparency value is still selected. I can only tab between H S L (or RGB, etc.) that are connected.
@Old Bruce
Exactly that. I need to select anything else just to deselect that field.
Strangely enough, when I set H S or L, pressing Return (Enter) will already result in the field being deselected.
