Affinity Photo does not load pictures

Recommended Posts

When I load a picture in affinity photo, it does not load the picture properly but stops at ~15% and does not open the develop persona (The same problem happens also when I try to load pictures in non-RAW formats like jpg. When trying to close the program the error massage appears: At least one file is currently being developed. Closing the program does then also not work anymore and I have to close affinity photo via task manager.

What could be the reason for this error? (I work with the newest version 1.10.5)

Welcome!

For which vendors cam model and so what DNG format version? - Did you waited longer time in case the DNGs are very huge, or did you looked into the Task Manager if APh may have stalled etc.?

  • Also which Win version do you use and has that installed certain updated recently?
  • Further how are under the APh preferences your hardware acceleration settings?

I am not at all familiar with Windows but I think you should turn on the Context Toolbar, go to View > Show Context Toolbar and select it so it is check marked, and then you'll be able to see the Develop and Cancel buttons. The ~15% may well refer to the zoom magnification.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.2
Affinity Designer 2.3.1 | Affinity Photo 2.3.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.3.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
