DDesign
I fired up Affinity Designer today and noticed weird color "banding" issues:1). On HSL Color Wheel (image 1). All of my custom gradients were altered to show these banding as well. They use to be smooth gradients between two colors...now have banding colors of light and dark between two selected colors for gradients. The first images I have white arrows pointing out the color gradients having alternating light and dark colors from Orange to Yellow on the HSL wheel. 2). I also tried to use Gaussian Blur and there's this light color banding (image 2 - black arrow). Usually, it's a smooth, continuous blur. MacOS 12.5.1 Monterey Affinity Designer: 1.10.5 Hardware Acceleration: Checked. (Apple M1 Metal) Tried rebooting and restarting computer but issue still persists. Staff Lee_T Posted October 6, 2022 Staff Share Posted October 6, 2022 Hi DDesign, Do you have Dither Gradients enabled in the Preferences > Performance. Lee
DDesign
Thanks, Lee. Yes, "Dither" gradients is checked marked. I fired up Affinity today and everything is fine again. No banding issues. The images posted above do not show "banding" at all now so I'm thinking if it's my MacOS acting up or monitor that's the culprit. [ Solved for now ] Thanks Again!
