Fuzzy output when changing from develop persona to photo persona

Recommended Posts

Hi. As of some time ago, whenever I work with raw files and I complete the processing, on clicking in develop the persona window opens a fuzzy/blurred image, different hue and even different background. I must have turned as default some dumb setting. Can I restore all settings to original defaults ?

Thanks

João Gusmão

Before/after comparisons need to be done at 100% zoom.

Hi @João Gusmão welcome to the forums,

It is quite difficult to tell the difference between the before/after based on your screenshots. If you could provide us with screenshots which show before/after developing using Screengrab (Shift + CMD + 4 on Mac to capture a portion) and at 100% zoom level this would be beneficial.

If you could also provide us with a screenshot of your Assistant settings within the develop persona and a sample RAW this would assist in us investigating further, I can provide a private upload link if required.

I think the problem is the same as in many previous cases, see for example here.

That is, display less than 100%, and display distortion using the mipmaps technique.

Hi,

Thanks all for your replies and interest. Only now I can return to this subject. I really don't thing this is an issue of 100% because I (all of us) use it for fine tuning, but this should not have impact in develop or persona mode differences. These two new subjects (in color is more visible) are in 100% magnification and directly cropped from the screen as suggested. In develop mode I only used exposure compensation, some contrast and High/Low lights adjustments. I usually do not perform heavy post-production. Persona mode sample is "as is", no adjustment whatsoever. Before development button (15.17.57) and after development button (15.18.37). Please note overall blurriness/less contrast, yellowish (see the upper corner reds), focus on the left lower corner white shirt guy (no color temperature used in develop).

As this only was a problem after my (poor?) learning process, I still think I probably made some customised standard settings and blew it. I think I can reset them all. True?

Many thanks to the community

JG
