Staff Callum Posted September 26, 2022 Staff Share Posted September 26, 2022 Thank you I'll take a look at the crash report now in the mean time could you try the following steps? Restart your PC Launch Command Prompt On the basis you have installed Publisher in it's default location on the C drive type/copy cd "C:\Program Files\Affinity\Photo\" and Enter Type/Copy Photo --disable-font-preview-cache and Enter Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP. GRAFKOM
Removing this update is only a temporary fix. In a moment, my computer updates again and installs this update. How to permanently remove the problem with Affinity programs closing after entering any letter in the font list? Why only Affinity programs have a problem with Windows updates? Why only Affinity programs have a problem with Windows updates? As this issue has only just occurred and seems to be caused by the update we don't have a permanent solution at this point in time. Due to the cause of the issue I would be surprised to find that Affinity is the only app effected however it's not impossible. Hopefully we will have more concrete info soon. GRAFKOM

GRAFKOM
OK. walt.farrell Thank you for this information. This helped block specific updates. Nevertheless, Serif still needs to work on fixing this bug. Probably in version 2.0 - sometime.

ИСПРАВЛЕНО отсутствие сбоев при поиске шрифтов. Спасибо!!! But it began to crash just with open documents. This is after the update. This happens on both windows 11 and 10. It hangs in unexpected places. Before the last update, this behavior was not observed.
