Staff Dan C Posted September 23, 2022 Staff Share Posted September 23, 2022 Hi @Christine777, Welcome to the Affinity Forums Sorry to hear you're having trouble! I'd like to request some further information to help our team understand the cause of this. Can you please: Open Affinity Photo and navigate to Edit > Preferences > Performance, then provide a screenshot of your settings here. Open Windows Run (Windows Key + R) then paste the following string and press OK: %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\ In the window that opens, please select log.txt, then upload this to your reply here. Open Windows Run once again, then paste the following and press OK: %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\CrashReports\reports\ In the window that opens, please select the 2 most recent .DMP files, then attach these to your reply also. Finally, can you please give a brief description of the steps you're taking when the app crashes? Does this happen in one file, or multiple? Is it when using a specific tool/function, or seemingly randomly? Many thanks in advance! Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible. Many thanks! The crash reports folder is empty. Performance screenshot (sorry, I couldn't find a way to insert the image so I provided a link): https://prnt.sc/jGTAxksdurg3 As regarding the steps, basically after 2-3 of any operations (zoom in, zom out, crop, selection brush tool, inpainting brush tool, adjustments etc.) the program crashes and stops responding. Thank you! Log.txt
Bogdan74
UPDATE: The issue solved by disabling Hardware acceleration in Edit > Preferences > Performance. Dan C
