Affinity Photo: Line drawing from a photo

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

How to proceed to transform a photo to give the illusion of a line drawing?

Thank you for your detailed explanations.

6 cœurs, 12 processus - Windows 11 pro - 4K - DirectX 12 - Suite universelle Affinity (Affinity  Publisher, Affinity Designer, Affinity Photo).

Mais je vous le demande, peut-on imaginer une police sans sérifs ?

See:

The forums Resources section also contains the one or other macros for such purposes!

Other than that there are also some good vector tracing tools, which can convert bitmap images into vector art. Or some specialized apps for similar tasks, like this here ...

☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan
☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2

Superb. This is another aspect I hadn't thought of.

I'd like to get a drawing something like this (it's another image from the same Albert Camus):
