How to stop files in Adobe Bridge opening in Affinity Photo

Recommended Posts

This is driving me crazy!!

I use Adobe Bridge as my DAM. When I single click on a .nef file it opens in Affinity Photo. How the heck do I stop it? There cab be a dozen or so .nef files open in AF and I have to cancel each one separately. I wouldn't mind if it was double click

In Bridge, I have gone to Edit  > Preferences > File Type Associations and the .nef is set to None.

Any ideas?

At least for Macs, single-clicking on a file in Finder just selects it but does not open it in any app. So just curious, but is it different in Explorer for Windows, & if so, how do you just select a file without opening it?

Does Adobe Bridge have the ability to open a file upon selection? Meaning a single click will open it.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Normally single click to select, double click to open. (Although I think you can change it to hover to select and single click to open. if you want to!)

Thank you for your suggestions.

.nef files are associated to Affinity Photo. In Windows Explorer, all .nef files are listed as Affinity Photo files. In Bridge they are listed as .NEF.

I agree that in Bridge, single click should be to select and double click to open the file (in AP) but it opens in AP with a single click.
