Tamron 24-70 f2.8 g1 lens profile in develop module is not found anymore

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I used to correct lens distortion of my tamron Tamron 24-70 f2.8 g1 from the develop module. it became unfunctional long ago, and i know  i am late in reporting this error. the lens profile for my nikon 50mm 1.8 is working and functional. i do not like to correct the distortion from the photo module on the ipad as it s lengthy and not practical.

Is there a fix for this problem ? plz help

NB: the develop module recognize that i took the pic with th tamron, but in the lens correction section it says "no lens profile" (for the tamron no for the nikon)

Can you share one of the RAW image files you have that used that lens?

That's interesting. Even on the desktop (Windows), though the image metadata shows that lens, it is not automatically detected for me. The lens is listed in the available lens profiles, so I'm not sure why the auto-detection isn't working.

Are you sure it's working for you with that image?

who can we refer to to ask for a solution? is there another place other than this forum??

This forum is the preferred location for reporting/discussing problems. But patience is needed, as the user-base is much larger than the Serif Staff, and it may take awhile before they (Serif) get to a forum topic due to their workload.

@Mh.elhassan

Yep. Add the attached xml file to the LensProfiles folder, restart APhoto and try again. Edit: This is for the pc version, no idea about the ipad

I'm curious what's different about your file, David. The PC apps already have a lens profile for that lens, but it isn't automatically detected.

I just changed the model description to match what APhoto had detected:
