Rick Chapman Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 (edited) Hi. I've recently completed two books and wish to take a crack at having these files converted to AF Pub. I'm not sure how feasible this is, but I did purchase the AF app suite and want to see how it turns out. One book is simple in its internal structure, with no footnotes, tables, illustrations, etc. Page count is about 300. The other book has many footnotes and a fair amount of charts and some illustrations. I expect to pay for this service btw. You can contact me on this forum. I'll be happy to send some text samples for testing purposes. More contact info at www.softletter.com. Both books currently exist in InDesign. I'm not looking to further format or copyedit these files. rick Edited September 16, 2022 by NathanC Email Address Removed
Staff NathanC Posted September 16, 2022 Staff Posted September 16, 2022 Hi @Rick Chapman welcome to the forums, I've edited your post to remove your email address as it's best to avoid disclosing this on a public forum. You can import InDesign documents into Publisher by saving them in InDesign as an .IDML file which can then be opened and saved as a .afpub file. I've linked the help guide below which details which InDesign functions are honoured upon importing into Publisher. https://affinity.help/publisher/en-US.lproj/pages/GetStarted/importDocument.html If you're unsure on how to save your file as IDML in InDesign I've linked a brief YouTube tutorial below.
