Opening raw files from photos app not showing any camera data

when I open raw photos from the photos app on Mac they no longer open up in develop or show any of the camera data just the lens data. it has worked in the past and I've tried resetting all setting and user setting reinstalled a few times as that worked last time but now Im having no luck with getting the camera data to show and help would be great.

Hi @Mattvenum welcome to the forums,

It's likely that you are opening the RAW in Apple Photo's by Right clicking the image and selecting 'Edit in Affinity Photo', this will open the RAW as TIFF in the Photo Persona with no Camera data. This issue is currently logged with the development team for resolution.

If you were to open the Photo By clicking into the image from Apple Photos > Select Edit > Select Ellipses > Edit in Affinity Photo this will correctly open the image in the Develop persona with EXIF Camera data preserved, however this workflow is also prone to a separate issue which prevents the image from correctly passing the edits back to Apple Photos, so it may be best to avoid using the Edit in Affinity functions in the Apple Photos app.
