plumeau
hello, i'm new to affinity, i am a painter (with real paint..) what i want to do is, import the image that i want to paint into infinity and import a photo of what i am painting. with the opacity slider i can slide between the two and see where i have to concentrate on my painting. The problem is that i find it hard to put the two images directly over each-other can anyone tell me how to do that?
Old Bruce
I would use the Align functions, either from the Toolbar or the menu Arrange > Align Left, middle, right ... etc. Select both layers and have a go. I would suggest using the Middle and Centre choices. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Turn on Snap to spread/margins and the various snap to .... midpoints options.
