converting photoshop can mockup

Recommended Posts

Let me start by saying I am completely new to affinity and to product design. I work for a small brewery in the UK, and we've been creating beer labels in house for years, and the quantity we produce does not make it cost effective to work with designers, unfortunately.

So, I create my labels in affinity designer, and then export that to PDF (I have a slight issue with rasterisation, but I'll come to that in another post, one thing at a time) to be sent to print.
I also have an old copy of photoshop that I bought many, many years ago, which I have a psd file that allows me to import the PDF and create a nice fake mockup of the can label as though it were on an actual can, and we can use it for publicity photos, website etc...

I've done the obvious and tried opening the PSD file in affinity, and unsurprisingly it doesn't work, so my question is, does anyone know where I may find a can mockup template anywhere for affinity designer? Or any recommendations on where I can go to get this PSD updated to work with designer???

Any help appreciated.

Do you have this checked in the Preferences in Designer?

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

For this new problem we would need to be able to see the PhotoShop file.

I don't use Google so I can't sign in, and won't sign up. Others here may be able to help.
