Light blues of imported RAW image turned magenta

Recommended Posts

Using Affinity Photo on 12.9” iPad Pro (5th gen) running iPadOS 15.6.1

Photo shot on Panasonic Lumix G9.

RAW image has light blue hues turned heavy magenta upon import. Issue occurs on both “Import from Photos” and “Import from Cloud”.

Attaching original RAW, and screen shots of the image in iOS Photos and in Affinity Photo.

@AlbertY I have had more luck using the Serif Labs RAW engine with this file format than the default Apple Raw Engine. Look under preferences -> assistant -> raw engine

Affinity Suite costs less than a single night on the toon, few beers and curry, just let that sink in.

Affinity Photo, Designer, Publisher 1.10 and 2.0 on macOS Ventura beta on M1 Mac Mini 16GB 1TB
Affinity Photo, Designer, Publisher 1.10 and 2.0 on Windows 10 Pro.
Affinity Photo, Designer, Publisher 2.0 on M1 iPad Pro 11” on iPadOS 16. beta.

Hi @AlbertY,

Welcome to the Affinity Forums :)

Thanks for your report! I can confirm this is a known issue with specific blue/purple tones in RAW images which is logged with our developers - I will be sure to 'bump' this issue with them for you now.

In the meantime, I would recommend changing the RAW engine as Paul has recommended above.

I hope this helps!
