Hi, just had an issue with Affinity Designer for iPad. I created a folder for the brushes being used on a project but when duplicating a brush to add to this folder the application crashed. I had to restart the app and noticed all the imported brushes have gone and now left with the system brushes only… had a scan on the forums and noticed a few others have had a similar issue but couldn’t find if there was a solution. Also restarted the iPad but no joy.

thanks

Hi Lee, thanks for the reply (great profile pic by the way…)

So I have a bunch of imported raster brushes (DAUB, True Grit etc bought from the Affinity Shop)… I made a separate folder to contain the brushes I want to use for a project. Rather than moving the brushes I made duplicates and renamed them before moving into the ‘project’ folder…

After selecting the duplicate option Affinity hangs then crashes. Brushes duplicated have been a combo of system and imported brushes. So far I have been restarting the app and picking up from where I left off… on this occasion though it removed all imported brushes from the Pixel Persona, leaving the system brushes intact…

It’s only happened once so far but my worry is having to re install everything if it happens again and again… could have just been unlucky this time. Bit tricky to reproduce I know so just a heads up to see if anyone else had a similar issue.

(Working on an iPad Pro M1)

Thanks Darren

Thanks for the extra info, I'll continue to do some testing with some of the third party ones as well. It's perhaps worth exporting your brushes when you can, just in case to try and reduce the effects of the app crashing out.
