I think you may be thinking about an auto-trace function but there is none in the Affinity apps, & even the third party ones do not always do a good job of connecting the vector lines into the kind of filled shapes you might want. Hi The Image (in the screenshot) is actually not a "vector image". It is a bitmap (export) from maybe a source file which was vector. You can use Photo , the flood selection tool with a tolerance of 50-65%, and then fill the white areas. but rasterise the image layer first. Or you can open an actual vector file, and assign colors to closed vector curves.
