Madame
It looks a little complicated for me to give advise. You have so many layers going on. Is it possible to drag the layer on top first? I see you use the selection tool, I would rather add a mask, then paste inside. Have you tried to make a selection with the rectangulare shape tool. I find the paste inside work very well in that. (You probably know, but you have to drag out the placed picture/object to see it.) EDIT, I don't think you have to drag it to the top, but try to add a mask and see what happens. anon1
You just have to tick the box of the third background layer (counting from top towards bottom), thus the nested layers get visible Madame
Staff MEB Posted January 3, 2016 Staff Share Posted January 3, 2016 Hi goldendye, The layer you pasted is clipped inside a layer layer a mask applied. Since its position doesn't match the visible area of the mask, you can't see it. You can either uncheck the mask to be able to see it, or simply change to the Move Tool with the same layer selected as in your screenshot - you can click on its thumbnail in the Layers panel to select it (you should see its controls handles in the canvas) and then drag it to the visible area of the mask in the canvas.
