MKlusek
I am not a graphic designer. I am trying to use Publisher to make a pdf file for a photobook. I use Blurb but their software is quite primitive. So I want to create in Publisher and upload to Blurb. All the instruction assume already expert in design software. So confusing to do the basic stuff. The templates given are way too complicated and are not books. Can't you made a simple sample photo book so I could see how its done and make videos of the process start to finish. An example of the complexity: you need to have content created before you make table of content so it can pull in info. Why can't you have a TOC template that I can fill in manually. It's a photo book of 30 or so pages not a 500 page manual. Simplest things like this are too complicated.

It makes no sense to have a template TOC that is manually filled in, the simplest method would be to create a bulleted list on a page titled "Content." Even with only 30 pages TOC creation using the TOC tools and proper formatting can make it much easier to edit/amend your work at a later date. iconoclast
Professional DTP-Software like Affinity Publisher is of course not intended to create Photo Books, even you can of course use them for that too. If the print shop, you will assign to print your photo book(s), doesn't support PDFs, you should export the single pages as pixel images (JPEG, PNG, TIFF...) and load those into the software the provider offers. In this case, all vector elements and texts will be rasterized and lose a bit of their sharpness. But that shouldn't be too bad. One additional annotation: As far as I know, the softwares of photobook-providers work with RGB-images. So you should create your documents in Publisher in RGB too. But without warranty.
