Dennison
Grateful for any help. I've used AfPub for multiple publications, including several books, and never had this issue before: TOC - all entries have the same Text Style but the leader dots are missing from some - see screenshot Which setting mat be incorrect? thanks, Den
lacerto
Since the ones that show the problem are the shortest ones, it may be that you have an extraneous tab definition in the TOC entry style that "takes" the page number, while the longer ones will take the actual tab position intended for the right aligned page number. Dennison
okay thank you. I will check this out. Another TOC - all leader dots vanish when table updated - any ideas why? No settings are changed, just TOC updated.

No settings are changed, just TOC updated. Without seeing the settings it will be hard to say. A screenshot of the TOC with the TOC panel and a relevant Text Style would be helpful. (Or a sample .afpub if you can provide one.) Dennison
Thank you. Here is another screenshot showing the Text Style for the whole TOC
Old Bruce
The problem is going to be that the Short lines have a particular ToC Paragraph Style and the Long lines have a different ToC Paragraph Style. You may even have somehow overridden the Short (or Long) lines' definitions. MikeTO
The problem is the Left Indent setting for the TOC style - you can see it in the picture of the text ruler, that page number is aligned to the left indent setting. Change left indent to 0 and you should be fine.
