Staff Dan C Posted August 24, 2022 Staff Share Posted August 24, 2022 Hi @SPurz, Please note I have split your post to a new thread from this thread in order to address the issue you're experiencing separately, please ensure you are Following this new thread to be notified for further replies. Can you please confirm for me: Which Affinity app are you using? Are you running this on Windows, Mac or iPadOS? Does this happen with multiple files, or one document specifically? Are you able to save to any location (ie directly to the desktop) or does the app crash no matter the save location? Do you see any crash reports or error messages on screen when the app crashes? Many thanks in advance! Quote Please Note: I am now out of the office until Tuesday 2nd April on annual leave. SPurz
Affinity Designer & Publisher macOS The app crashed regularily (not always) once I try to export. The crash happens on the folder selection (see screenshot). It just goes to the rotating rainbow ball and doesn't react to anything else. It is neither connected to any specific file nor to any specific folder. Though most of my folders are SharePoint folders. nope, once it crashed I can't select any folder or click any button to save. No, I have to force-quit the software, no error message or crash report. Quote SPurz.net
Staff Dan C Posted August 24, 2022 Staff Share Posted August 24, 2022 Many thanks for confirming that for me, that's certainly helpful! We're aware of a bug when using the Export Persona to 'Cloud' based locations that can cause Affinity to freeze and not recover, so I suspect this is a similar issue affecting you here. If you restart (or force close and reopen) the Affinity app, then try saving to a folder that is not a SharePoint location, do you see the same behaviour? Did you install the app from the Affinity Store, or the Mac App Store please? Quote Please Note: I am now out of the office until Tuesday 2nd April on annual leave.
