Morgendugg Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 Hello there! Hope you are all doing good. I have learnt to use the magnetic crop tool and use it for importing .png images to .word documents. But I can not adjust the transparency in Word, so I was hoping I can do it in Affinity Photo. I use the ´paste from clipboard´- function after using the magnetic tool and it paste perfectly. But do I have to make a layer of it before I can adjust the transparencey to it? If so, how do I do that on the ipad?
Staff Callum Posted August 22, 2022 Staff Posted August 22, 2022 Hi Morgendugg, Welcome to the forums I'm not sure if I have understood exactly what you are looking for however if you are trying to remove an images background and add a transparent one you should be able to do so by following the steps in the below guide. Thanks C Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
Morgendugg Posted August 22, 2022 Author Posted August 22, 2022 Hello and thank you for answering! Sorry for being a bit unclear, but I know how to erase a background, or as I tried to explain using the magnetic lasso tool to cut out an object from an picture. I also know how to paste in a ned window. But what I want to know is if it is possible to adjust the transparency/ opacity for what I cut out. The reason is that I use the object that I cut out as a text underlay. So adjusting transparency/ opacity would make the text more visible. Maybe I am using the wrong words?
