Drag and drop template

Hi

I want to make drag and drop templates like the included photo to make photo albums easier. I’m new to publisher and wondering if there’s a tutorial for this type of work? I made many years ago in InDesign

One method to do this is to create a new document and use the Picture frame tool on a Master page to layout where you want the images to be. 
You can then go to File >Export as Template. 

When you next open this template, you can edit and save it without overwriting the original template. 

 

Images can be dragged and dropped into the picture frames from your file explorer or you can select the picture frame then select 'Replace image' from the context tool bar.  

This video does cover using templates in Affinity Photo, however the method to create one is the same in Publisher.
