Glennsart Posted August 18, 2022 Posted August 18, 2022 G'Day all. I'm quite new to Designer and have a question about dealing with missing fonts. I did a search for this topic here (and elsewhere) but most of the info I saw is a bit old and is more to do with Publisher. So, I'm taking Affinity Revolution's Beginners course in Designer. In one lesson, I opened the file and received a "Missing Font" message. I'm wondering if there is a way within the program to find and add the font, or if the best way to deal with this is to go on the web, find it, install it in your machine then point (somehow) Designer to it. Can anyone enlighten me here please? Many thanks for the help in advance. Have a good one . Installing the font should allow Affinity to see the font and it will automatically correct the missing font message; at least that is what happens on Mac, windows may be slightly different. I think it will be the same on Windows. At least if I activate a font in Font Base when Designer is already opened, the font will appear in the font menu without any restart or so. Glennsart 1 Quote
Glennsart Posted August 18, 2022 Author Posted August 18, 2022 Gotcha. I wasn't sure if Designer had a font manager somewhere that I wasn't able to find. Thanks a bunch for this 👍 I should have mentioned, I am on a Mac. Thanks @firstdefence and @iconoclast. Much appreciated .
