imagefirst
Have new Windows 11 computer, reinstalled Affinity Publisher, is there a way to copy and move my presets from the old computer to the new?
walt.farrell
The term "Presets" is used in many different contexts within the Affinity applications. Which one(s) do you mean? Many of the Studio panels support export/import actions, but some don't. In any case, if you copy the "user" directory you'll get most (all?) of your settings in one operation. This FAQ will tell you where to find that directory, which depends on both the OS platform (Mac, Windows) and the Store that you purchased the application from: Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.4.1, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.

As Walt said "The term "Presets" is used in many different contexts within the Affinity applications. Which one(s) do you mean?" I am going to make a stab in the dark and guess you mean Presets as in the New File Dialog window's My Presets tab. Am I correct? imagefirst
Yes, when I hit new, a dialog box opens that says new document, the My Presets tab. I have created numerous preset and want to not have to do it again. Thanks for your patients!
walt.farrell
Moving the complete "user" directory will get them, and many other things you may want (Assets, Object Styles, Text Styles, Adjustment presets, ...).
