AlleyDukakis
Assume I have a JPEG in my Affinity document. Then, (while Affinity is open) I use Photoshop to make some changes in the JPEG, and I save the JPEG. Now, how can I direct Affinity to RELOAD / REFRESH this JPEG image in Affinity? Currently, I can use the Replace Image button to hunt for the JPEG. But the path and filename of the JPEG have not changed. I just want to click REFRESH to refresh the image in Affinity -- e.g. as you do in MS Word. Way to do that? Thanks! GarryP
Which Affinity application are you using, and how did you get the JPEG “in” your document?
Staff Lee_T Posted August 17, 2022 Staff Share Posted August 17, 2022 HiAlleyDukakis, Rather than opening your image, create a new document and Place the image, ensuring your placement policy is set to linked as shown below. now, when you make a change to the original image, it will prompt you to open the resource manager and ask you if you wish to update it. Check Automatically update linked resources when modified externally in Preferences > General. 2. As 1. names it, the placed image has to be linked.
