Yunuyei
I was forced to switch from my beloved PS6 to Affinity due to a new macbook. I need to insert files in a magic wand selected area, but no matter which options I'm selecting , the file always got inserted on the left boarder of the file. How can I insert something in the magic wand selected area? The PS step was. Select all, copy, open the other file , select the area with magic wand, insert (command+ a, command+ c, magic wand, command +v) I tried all insert options I could find in "edit" as well as the three icons on the right side with the circle on it. It drives me crazy that it doesn't work. All other programs (Clipstudio, medibang etc.) I work with have no issue with this workflow. As these programs don't have markros I need to do it in affinity.... Thanks in advance to the person who can help me . Lisbon
Hi Yunuyei and welcome. I believe you want to paste inside a selection. See if this helps: Paste Inside Selection
iconoclast
But you can also simply invert the selection and delete the areas you want to get rid of. The important thing for this is that the layer containing the image you want to cut to selection is a Pixel Layer, not an Image Layer. So if it is an Image Layer, rasterize it first (Right click on the layer and click "Rasterise"). The advantage of Lisbon's solution is that it is non-destructive. You can still move the image inside the selection.
