Garth Laidlaw
Hi there! Im using Affinity Publisher and I'm just wondering if there is a quick way to simply switch all "black" text to CMYK black (100% K) in one or few moves without trying to find every issue throughout a document. That's it! Thanks a lot for your help.
thomaso
a. Change the text colour in your saved text styles via the "Text Styles" panel. If you had defined them to base on 1 style you need to change 1 instance only. 😉 b. Use the "Find & Replace" panel > "Format" to change 1 text colour at a time. If your layout contains several colours as "black" you need to change them individually. Old Bruce
I am assuming you will be using CMYK for the Document's Colour Format. The way I do it is to use Text Styles and apply them to all the text. For the text styles I use a Document Swatches and have a Global Colour that is CMYK 0 0 0 100, I name it Text Black and choose that for the Groups' Styles (upon which I base my all my Text Styles). Click on the seriously weird little icon/button. Set the Swatches panel to show as a List in Appearance which is accessed by going to the 'hamburger' menu in the top right corner of the swatches panel. Now you have your Text Black, rename it by using a right click on the name. Make your Group Style and give it the proper colour. Do this by clicking the colour well and choose Swatches. Base your text styles on the group (you can have as many Groups as you want, I will use one for basic text and one for headings). Do not alter the Text Fill from what is shown, counterintuitively this will inherit the text colour from the A Group group that this is based on. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
