arachiya
I have been using PagePlusX5 software to produce my documents, comics, newsletters and so forth for 20 years. When my HP Deskjet died, I replaced it with a XEROX C230 color laser printer, which arrived yesterday. When I attempt to print, the queue displays the project and then clears with out printing. I tried open office which printed a text document just fine. I talked to Xerox and it was determined there is a issue with the software so I contacted you. Is there a setting in PagePlus that will enable the software to use the new printer or do I have to purchase updated software? arachiya
I've never seen the legacy plus item, is that option on the software menu? Where do I find it? Would anyone know if the new publishing software would accept the old PagePlus files?
John Rostron
Page Plus is part of the legacy Serif software. Affinity Publisher is a completely new product. It will not accept Page Plus files. However, if you export your PagePlus files as pdf, then they can be opened in Affinity Publisher. If you download the free trial, you can see if it works with your printer. Staff Dan C Posted August 9, 2022 Staff Share Posted August 9, 2022 Hi @arachiya, Welcome to the Affinity Forums The FAQ linked above is referring to the 'Legacy Plus Range', which is what we use to group together the older Serif software, such as PagePlus, DrawPlus etc. Unfortunately we cannot provide support for the PagePlus software here on the Affinity forums - however as John mentions above there are ways to convert and import PPX documents into the new Affinity range. You can find a link to the aforementioned Publisher trial below - https://affinity.serif.com/publisher/trial I hope this clears things up! Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible. Many thanks! Where do I find it? ‘Legacy’ refers to PagePlus and all other Serif ‘Plus’ software products, none of which are sold or officially supported now. 29 minutes ago, arachiya said: Would anyone know if the new publishing software would accept the old PagePlus files? You can’t open PagePlus files directly in any of the Affinity apps, but (as @John Rostron posted as I was typing this) you can publish as PDF and then open the PDF file.
