Converting dotted black lines to solid blue, solid black to solid red

Recommended Posts

I have some templates for popup mechanisms. The cutting lines are solid black, the folds dotted or dashed lines. Is there a simple way to convert all dotted and dashed black lines to solid blue and solid black to solid red so I can cut them with a laser cutter?

If you are using Affinity Designer: Yes. You can make use of the Select > Select Object feature. Only problem could occur to distinguish between dotted and dashed lines, as they are the "same", but I would be glad if someone proves me wrong here.

This works for strokes with the same colour and line weight. Only available in Designer and the Designer Persona of Publisher.

Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

If the lines have the same colour and line weight they will be all selected, regardless whether dotted or dashed. This was my point, that dotted and dashed are in fact the same, only with different parameters.

No, you’re not wrong. For these purposes, dots are just short dashes.
