iOS Shortcuts - from arw file to txt, yes it’s weird but possible

Recommended Posts

This is my shortcut.

I created this because of I try to debug my another shortcut.

It has command Show with parameter FilePath

This command shows that file extension is arw.

In last step is command Open with the same parameter FilePath.

Result of this command shows that file extension changes from arw to txt.

My simplae question is : why file extension changes ?

@Darek K Not really in answer to your question, which I suspect is because the file format you are using is unrecognised by iPadOS, but did you try uploading some sample RAW files here for others to test with, not as images but as raw files. I think with some RAW formats extra compression can be applied by the camera which can make it impossible for Affinity to open, so it may be worth turning off any extra compression on your camera to see if they work.

Affinity Suite costs less than a single night on the toon, few beers and curry, just let that sink in.

Affinity Photo, Designer, Publisher 1.10 and 2.0 on macOS Ventura beta on M1 Mac Mini 16GB 1TB
Affinity Photo, Designer, Publisher 1.10 and 2.0 on Windows 10 Pro.
Affinity Photo, Designer, Publisher 2.0 on M1 iPad Pro 11” on iPadOS 16. beta.

I was trying to run this script when file is on nas, on my ipad, jpg, cr2 and arw.

Run fron Files and from FileBrowser Pro.

Exactly the same result.

Show „function” returns proper extension.

But Open function shows error with txt extension.
