temporalnaut Posted July 15, 2022 Posted July 15, 2022 Hi, I'm used to the Photopea program that when I turn on a shadow on an object (via Layer effects) with parameters so that this shadow looks like the outline of an object of a certain thickness, in the mentioned Photopea the shadow had beautiful smooth edges. If I do this in Affinity Photo, the edges are jagged, see screenshots. Yes, I can use the Outline of an object whose edges are smooth, but I would like to move this outline, just like when I set the Offset and Angle function in the shadow. In this forum they answered me that this is how Affinity Photo works, but I can use a second layer that will be like the shadow and I can move it. So, I present to you a proposal for a new "function", or fine-tuning the shadow function so that it has smooth edges. Thank you. Quote

Thank you. I think I would rather have the ability to move the Outline Effect, just add the offset and angle. As I mentioned in the earlier topic, shadows are supposed to be blurry. It goes counter to the name to have a sharp edge. To be honest I doubt I would ever use this though, I try to not use any Effects that will rasterize things. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
