Is there a way to lock the brush color and not switch to color picker mode?

[Photo for iPad] I’m having a hard time drawing over a layer (for example, to outline part of a photo) without the brush switching to the color picker loupe. Moving slowly enough to ensure accurate tracing always seems to trigger it. Can I turn off this feature? I’m using a stylus but not an Apple pencil.

Welcome to the forums,

When I try this using an Apple Pencil here it all seems to work fine. We haven't tested with any non official stylus but I'd be surprised if this was the cause. If possible could you provide a screen recording demonstrating this issue?
