Before I begin, please refer to the forum post below. I'm currently redesigning the Layer Studio and I'll be talking about the Letter C Layer Studio mock up in this forum post.

So now that the Layer Options has been redesigned it no longer needs to be a pressable button inside the Layer Studio. It no longer needs to be there because there are no layer properties inside of it that users can change. It now has layer "options." Keyword "options." Not properties. "Options." So the layer options now acts as a "menu with options" and it should be placed next to the Studio Preference Menu at the top right because both are now menus with options.

So I need the serif team to take the layer options button and move it next to the Studio Preference Menu. Then i need the serif team to change the icon of the layer options from a circle with 3 dots to a gear ⚙️ icon. Why a gear icon? Because thats how it is in the desktop version of affinity designer. In the desktop version of AD in the Layers Studio, you have a gear icon that opens up the layer options(blend options). So if you used a gear icon there in the desktop version then use a gear icon here for the layer options icon in the ipad below.

I went ahead and did it for the serif team. Please refer to the image below.

So heres what we've done.

1.) We've taken some of the basic layer properties inside the layer options and moved them to the Layer Studio so that users have better access to their layer properties.

2.) Since we've removed some of those basic layer properties inside the layer options(layer name, layer opacity, layer blend mode, tags, visible, lock, and solo) the layer options now scales down in size and updates to a new look with only Gamma and Antialiasing Mode inside of it.

3.) We've changed the icon of the layer options from a circle with 3 dots to now a gear icon to match the gear icon in the desktop version of AD. Then we took the layer options button and moved it from the layer studio to the top right corner of the layer studio next to the Studio Preference Menu icon.
